Behind the lens
Thank you for your interest in my work! My name is Doug and I absolutely love photography.
My style has been described as editorial, timeless with true to life hues that makes you feel like you're reliving the moment all over again. Photography is my passion but there is more to my life than being behind the lens.
Here are some facts for you to get to know me:
- Married to the best wife a man could ask for. Sara & our pets take up the entirety of my personal camera reel but I wouldn't have it any other way.
- Cooking and woodworking are my place of solitude outside of photography - I can zone out for hours and prepare a meal to share or build an everlasting (crossing fingers) piece of furniture and still feel like I can come out the other side feeling recharged for my clients.
- Traveling the world is something I'm really passionate about. What better better way to experience life than first hand? My top three favorite destinations traveled (in no particular order) are: Japan for the hospitality of it's people and the amazing culinary experience, Costa Rica for it's breathtaking scenery & wildlife and lastly, the place that has it all - California! The backyard I call home has nearly perfect weather year round with mountains, beaches, desert, snow and lively cities with a plethora of options for dining and activities. I love where I live and am grateful to have met and had the opportunity to have photographed some amazing clients in my hometown.
